Coming from Cleveland, TN, Donald joined the Mt. Pleasant staff as Pastor in 1997. One of the things that makes Donald such an effective leader is that he leads from his heart. His preaching style is practical, direct and humorous. Donald is married to Jennifer, and they have three children: Rachel, Sam, and Josh.
A graduate of Belmont University and Southwestern Seminary, Donald loves to read, play basketball, run and spend time with his family.

Maintaining a vision and purpose can be a difficult task in a world that is constantly changing. In order to remain focused and committed to our five-fold purpose strategy of seeking, joining, growing, serving and going, Vance Baylor stepped up to the role of Executive Pastor.
Vance is a graduate of Belmont University and Southwestern Seminary. After serving in youth ministry for 18 years, Vance now oversees and coordinates the staff ensuring that we remain one in purpose and vision.
Vance was married to Wendy in November of 1989 and they have four children: Bailey, McKenna, Sawyer, and Reese. Other than spending time with his family, Vance also enjoys mission trips around the world, working in his yard, painting, snow skiing, snorkeling and various other sports.

Energetic, enthusiastic and excited are just a few of the words to describe Larry Salter,our Student Pastor.
A native of Cleveland, TN, Larry and his wife, Rachel, and three children Trevor, Kelsey, and Riley, moved to Hendersonville from Knoxville, TN. A graduate of Carson Newman College and Southwestern Seminary, Larry has been active in youth ministry for 20 years. His excitement for the Word of God and his love for youth have already shown to be a blessing to the Mt. Pleasant family. Traveling around the country speaking, playing golf and any other sports he can get his hands on are enough to keep Larry busy 24/7. He is a man of energy, and has a rock-solid commitment to his family as well as to the body of Christ.

Marissa Lowell is Children's Minister at Mt. Pleasant.
Marissa has two daughters, Natalie and Shannon. Joining the Mt. Pleasant Staff in March of 2002, Marissa brings a breadth of experience and a servant’s attitude.
Marissa has more than 10 years experience in children's ministry and served for 12 years at Lifeway Christian Resources, her last position as the editor of “Living with Teenagers” magazine . She enjoys reading, sewing, gardening, cooking and loves sports of all kinds.

Mike Talley was born and raised in a Christian home in Tallahassee, Florida. Mike met Jesus as Lord and Savior as a freshman at Auburn University and following graduation, his desire to work with youth continued to develop and the Lord's call became clear to vocational ministry. Mike and his wife, Jennifer, moved to Memphis after his graduation from Southwest Seminary, where Mike served at Kirby Woods Baptist Church as Minister to Students for five years. Mike joined our Mt. Pleasant staff the summer of 2003 as our Minister of Adults.
Mike and his wife, Jennifer, have two beautiful children, Julianna and Jake. John loves spending time with his family, fishing, playing football and hooking up in a spirited game of basketball!

Entering into the presence of God can sometimes seem like a daunting task unless the worship leader is someone like Jeff Alexander.
Jeff is a creative, insightful and inspired worship leader. He has been used by God in mighty ways to bring about a true spirit of worship at Mt. Pleasant.
Graduating from UNC Chapel Hill, Jeff went on to pursue a career in songwriting. After using his gift to write for a number of years, Jeff began leading worship at Mt. Pleasant in 1996.
He is married to Susan and has three children: Grace, Glory, and John David. Spending time with family is David’s top priority.
